know that yet, because I haven't had any discussions about it. But I already know that Wojciech Koscielniak is preparing another premiere: \"Pretty Woman\" at the Variete Theatre in Krakow and I have been invited to a casting call for the ensemble of this production.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n There is an even better one. One is that Wojtek Koscielniak invited the whole 'Przybysz' ensemble to participate in the casting for this show. It seems to me that this is a very good start and a good way for us to be in Wojtek Koscielniak's ensemble, especially as these are great experiences for us.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n First of all, there's something that I trust Wojtek very, very much in terms of how he guides me. I also have this feeling that for the first time I met such a director who gets along with me perfectly. He leads me step by step and at the same time gives me freedom, because it's not like he sets all the 'steps' for me. He also likes my intuition and what I propose. Yes there are times when he says \"Michael too much\" or \"That's not in this direction\", but he then says \"Do it differently, drop what I said and try to do something else\". This always works well and he is very good to work with.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n True, surely such a recording of a graduation performance would be very important for us, for us as young actors who are at the beginning of their professional journey. It would be easier to find our way in the profession. We would very much like some theatre to take 'Przybysz' under its wing. It is a kind of secret dream of ours. We are starting to make a record once things have settled down a bit. Now my colleagues are finishing their second degree at the Theatre Academy with Anna Smolar. It will be 'Hymn', premiering on 6 March. I am now finishing preparations for 'Captain Wildcat...'. We want to record this album in March and April, because people are asking for recordings of songs from the play. They like the music from 'Arrival' very much. Soon, on 20 March 2020 (at 17:00 and 20:00), the 41st Review of Actor Songs in Wroc\u0142aw opens with the performance of \"Przybysz\" at the Capitol Music Theatre. As far as I know, there are no more tickets available. Although our year is very busy with activities in and out of school, and it is difficult for us to reconcile our schedules, but we are gradually adding more performances of 'Przybysz'. We played five in February and will play four performances in March.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Great people. There is certainly a great team here at the Siren Theatre. Excellently Wojtek has chosen people for this show. I realise that I sometimes have this student-like behaviour: come on, we'll do the scene earlier, meet at 9:40 a.m. Then the actors stop me: \"hello, hello since 10 a.m. we're working and practising\". I have it so that at 10 o'clock I want to show a situation that's ready. Theatre school turned me on. Whoever is graduating from the Theatre Academy or the Academy of Theatre Arts now knows what I'm talking about. You always want to rehearse and show, but that's not always what this job is about.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n As far as educators are concerned, I was very lucky with them. Even now, as far as I know, they are not all teaching. I was able to meet Anna Seniuk or Wies\u0142aw Komasa. These are educators who have given me a lot through their experience and through their commitment. I think we were lucky to be able to taste such acting and rehearse with such actors. And in the musical theatre acting major these are: Anna Serafi\u0144ska, Kamil Dominiak, Kasia Winiarska, Julia Chmielnik and Anna Sroka-Hry\u0144, who is an outstanding character. She prepared us both acting and musically. We were able to meet her twice during the productions: \"Songs of Czes\u0142aw Niemen\" and \"A Midsummer Night's Dream\". We have sensational memories of these works. These are people to whom I owe a great deal. I remember the school very developmentally.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Trick question. My adventure started in Wroclaw at the Capitol Musical Theatre. I graduated from the non-public post-secondary musical school at the Capitol Theatre. There, after all those years of studying, for various reasons I decided that I would only try to apply to the Theatre Academy when I found out that there was a musical theatre acting major. This major had been created the year before, and graduated, among others, Karolina Szeptycka and Karolina Gw\u00f3\u017ad\u017a, who are with us in the ensemble of the play 'Captain Wildcat'.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Yes, there was continuity. Of course, continuity after the musical study at the Capitol Musical Theatre, before that there was also the Wroc\u0142aw Polytechnic, construction.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Very briefly. After two or three months, I decided it wasn't it, even though I passed maths 100% in my matric.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n I have always sung. I have been singing since I was a child. I took part in competitions, in school theatres in primary school, then in middle school and high school. This has always been close to my heart.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Of course, yes. But it didn't work out. Fortunately, I think.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n As far as I know, all of us from the musical theatre acting course are already working: Dominik Bobrek with Gosia Majerska at the Tintilo Theatre at the Rampa Theatre, Kuba Szyperski at the Dramatic Theatre and the Rampa Theatre, Natalia Kujawa at the Studio Buffo Theatre, Filip Kara\u015b at the Polish Radio... everyone has some employment, everyone is managing, which is great for us.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Yes, certainly, such as Monika Rygasiewicz, who performed and is performing in the musical Once at the Roma Musical Theatre. Working during the holiday season, when the premieres were at the beginning of October, the school authorities never made a problem. With premieres at other times, you had to apply with a letter but there were also rather no problems. The authorities were invited to these performances. The worst was, of course, in the first year.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Obviously, we needed to focus on learning.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n As far as my major is concerned, everyone. Only one colleague has taken a dean's leave and is currently a year behind, and apart from her everyone has graduated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Yes, it's true.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n This is the 1970s. Very often I would call my parents and ask: \"Dad, what were the lyrics, to make it very contemporary for those times\". Together with Wojtek, we created the character of Kuba, who raps a bit. The seventies, a taxi driver rapping. That's how it came together for us anyway. I was looking to incorporate as much of that seventies Warsaw vibe as possible. To make the lyrics as communist as possible. I often took advice from my parents. They gave me suggestions. It is certainly a great experience, a lot of fun. I don't want to reveal much about the character. I can say that there will be a car called a Warsaw 202, and I will be a taxi driver. The whole song is based on me being in the car, but I don't want to give away what the character is going for.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Yes I'm also a militiaman and I'm Mickey Mouse, but I mainly portray the character of Cuba. Tomasz Ostrowski:<\/strong> We met in November a few days before the premiere of the graduation performance of the musical theatre acting students' production of 'The Arrival'. There you played the title role. You already knew then that Wojciech Koscielniak had invited you to join the ensemble of the musical play \"Kapitan \u017bbik i \u017c\u00f3\u0142ty saturator\". Did you thus become part of the Syrena Theatre's permanent acting ensemble, or just a guest acting ensemble?<\/h3>\n

So you are very lucky right from the start to be able to work in three consecutive productions by the master of the musical Wojciech Koscielniak. He has great experience of working in musical theatres, but also great experience of working with students at drama schools. At drama schools, he creates productions primarily with the students in mind, so that the students can present their craft, but he also gives a lot of freedom so that the young people can reveal their individual talents in excellent etudes.<\/h3>\n
\n
We know that the play 'Przybysz' is still in the repertoire of AST's Collegium Nobilium Theatre in February and March 2020. Do you know what the further fate of this wonderful play will be? It would be most beneficial for the show and its actors if this production was transferred to one of the repertory theatres. It would be good if a professional TV recording was made and made available in the public media and on VOD.<\/h3>\n

You are coming out from under the protective umbrella of drama school. How do you find yourself in your new surroundings?<\/h3>\n
\n
The production of 'Arrival' confirmed that the students of your year in musical theatre acting are not only very talented, but also excellently prepared in terms of workshop. How do you recall your pedagogues?<\/h3>\n
\n
Now let's take a step back in your life story. How did it all begin? How conscious was your choice of acting as a profession? Did you only apply to drama school?<\/h3>\n
\n
This means that your choice was no accident. There was continuity in your education as a musical theatre actor.<\/h3>\n
\n
How long did you study there?<\/h3>\n
\n
So what influenced your interest in singing?<\/h3>\n
\n
In this case, colloquiums and exams at the Polytechnic Institute should be taken in singing.<\/h3>\n
\n
How many of your classmates have already found employment? The market is very difficult. Production, especially of musical plays, is preceded by casting calls.<\/h3>\n
\n
We know that from the second year onwards, the faculty authorities do not make it difficult for you to participate in external performances, they appreciate the importance of the practical experience you can gain there. Have you taken advantage of such opportunities?<\/h3>\n
\n
But this is the principle of all universities. The first year is the selection year.<\/h3>\n
\n
How many colleagues who started their studies with you made it to the end?<\/h3>\n
\n
So they knew from the start what they were aiming for, they made a very conscious choice about their future career path?<\/h3>\n
\n
In the play 'Captain Wildcat' you were cast in the role of Cuba. How do you feel in this role? To what extent do you draw on your potential from drama school when working on the role, and to what extent are these completely new experiences?<\/h3>\n
\n
As I can see from today's media rehearsal, in the short two scenes presented, you are not only Cuba, but also a militiaman. So you have several roles in the play?<\/h3>\n
\n
It is good that you currently have a sense of security and can think about a stable future without stress. All the more so as the fame of your year has gone around the world and this may mean that you have the chance to make your mark very securely.<\/h3>\n
