Interview with Weronika Szczawińska
director of the play club
Theater Academy in Warsaw. Premiere June 26, 2021
"...this was their need, because in a sense they recognized the type of structural discrimination that exists in the theater environment, in the foundations of our theater, somewhere out there from the very beginning of the artistic path, which is education. That women, when placed in the classical repertoire, find much less space to express themselves. So, whatever it was, their need was to speak out and speak out on the case, to have their own subjectivity and voice on stage. Do theater consciously and responsibly. And the great thing is that the Academy followed them. Our performance was created as part of the school's " Change now!" program, which is part of the broad implementation of the anti – discrimination policy..”
Interview with Adrianna Malecka and Magdalena Sildatk
actresses and co-creators of the play KLUB directed by Weronika Szczawińska
Theater Academy in Warsaw. Premiere June 26, 2021
"...this show, even though it's about violence, it's so light and so around the subject. Sometimes it can be uncomfortable for the viewer, if it is, then it is a deliberate treatment. I don't think that it can somehow touch and make you very uncomfortable, that something is too much, that this topic is too heavy. It's cool and consciously guided by the director that we also get satisfaction talking about important and difficult things, and the audience can have their own reflexes, which is more important than their own discomfort...”

playwright of the play JĄDRO CIEMNOŚCI directed by Paweł Łysak
General Theater in Warsaw. Premiere: June 18, 2021

Through the form of this greedy, indomitable monster, capable of killing people, destroying nature. It says that he may even have dug underground to extract ivory fossils. And this Kurtz seems like a figure describing today's greedy capitalism and modern corporations. And it's not about such a banal translation. This is what we wanted to avoid in the play. We are rather creating a kind of metaphorical story, but these two themes: the thread of colonization and the ecological thread were the most important for us...”
Conversation with Joanna Drozda
director of the performance WARSAW LEGENDS
Rusalki Theater. Premiere on June 4, 2021.
The play is a joint venture between the Warsaw Theater and the Rusalki Theater
"...We are returning to the formula that was very popular in the Rusalka theater-the formula of the theater program. Programs have been staged in Sirena since its first premiere back in Lodz in 1945, because Jerzy Jurandot and Stefania Hrodna founded the theater there. Shows were also staged after moving to Warsaw in 1948, in fact, until the nineties. They consisted of thematically related skits, dramatic scenes, monologues, or songs. And so it will be with us, too. We are returning to this format because it seems to me easy and enjoyable enough to be an answer to the needs of the audience after all our closure, retreat and difficulties that we have experienced over the past year and a half. ...”
